‘We do not only want to see the ‘vacancies’, ‘allocation’ or ‘registered’ numbers offered to the Indian students for Matriculation Programme, but we want to see it in a more transparent manner’ comments V. Sivakumar, Tronoh State Assembyman referring to the Education Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s statement in The Sun daily on 3 July 2012.
V. Sivakumar emphasized that stating the numbers only are not convincing enough to have a check and balance on the Indian students who were offered or registered into the matriculation colleges. By saying this, V. Sivakumar calls upon the Education Ministry to reveal the names and identity card numbers of the students that were registered into the matriculation colleges for 2012/2013 session that had began on 4 June 2012, in all the local media. The information must be published according to the intakes in the 13 matriculation colleges accordingly. This gives more space for transparency and information on the Indian students’ Matriculation Programme matter that has been a national issue all this while.
The Indian students’ names and identity card numbers registered in the 13 matriculation colleges and its Matriculation Programmes must be published in the local media for verification purpose and yet this long standing matter will be solved and put to a stop.
The student who are already registered in the matriculation colleges for 2012/2013 session are welcomed to contact us at 05-288 2105 and give details on the programmes and the matriculation colleges registered.
