‘TOGETHER WE COME OUT TO THE LIGHT’
From my observation, Deepavali celebration this year, 2011, is indeed seemed the best to be celebrated so far.
There are so many stalls been put up in ‘Little India’, Ipoh. Lots of programs, activities and entertainments are organized and conducted during this Deepavali season. This has brought the colourful and festive atmosphere of Deepavali. This year’s celebration is really celebrated in a more joyous way. It is a celebration for everyone and the Indians in particular. There have also been so many gifts and hampers given to the Indian community by organizations, and political parties.
This has brought the meaning of share the joy with the poor and needy in our country. It has been a very heartfelt sight to see so many hampers and gifts distributed to the Indian families.
I hope these distributions are given with a genuine heart not merely for the political mileage purposes. The people must be given the goodies with an open heart and not for election purposes as the next general election is just around the corner.
Indians in this country need recognitions. It is very sad to note that some schools do not have the festive season into their considerations and to conduct final exams the next day of Deepavali. It is very inconsiderate of these schools to conduct the final exams in their schools. There are also some colleges giving holidays only on Tuesday and Thursday. Whereby, the holidays should be given on Thursday and Friday. It shows the insensitiveness and ill-respect to the Indian students.
During the festive season, road safety is very important. I wish the travelers to be extra careful on the road especially to those who will be going back to their homes during this Deepavali season.
I wish a very Happy Deepavali to all Indians and safe drive to all holiday travelers.
